  AIAP’s September 2025 Hike

  La Orilla Trail in Rancho Santa Fe

  The AIAP hike for this month is La Orilla Trail. The trails is in San Elijo Lagoon Ecological park in Encinitas.

  
  

  Meeting Time & Location:

  7:15 AM at 16398 El Camino Real, Rancho Santa Fe, CA 92091

  We will meet at 7:15 AM and hit the trails at 7:30 AM sharp.
  

  Hike Details:

  Round trip is approximately 8 miles and it is a relatively flat and easy trail.  For the more capable hikers, we can hike an additional 0.25 mile the Annie’s Canyon on our way.  We will hike to the beach/ Tide beach Park and back.

  Important Reminders:

  Parking is very limited (8-10 cars) on El Camino Real road, so carpool is a must and get there early for parking space availability. Please bring enough water, breakfast to share, water and wear comfortable hiking boots.
