    AIAP’s July 2026 Hike

    Torrey Pines Sunday July 26, 2026

    The AIAP hike for this month will be Torrey Pines State Beach and Broken Hill Loop. We start from beach level and go up the hill and come back from the beach trail to the end of the loop.

    Meeting Time & Location:

    Location: Torrey Pines State Natural Reserve Lot (after parking check in, in front of parking entrance and bathrooms)

    We get together at 7:15 AM and start the hike at 7:30 AM sharp.

    Hike Details:

    The hike is approximately six miles of easy walk in Torrey Pines State Reserve and takes about two and a half hours. Please bring enough water and wear comfortable hiking shoes. We will start at the parking lot, up the mountain, hike the canyons then walk down to the beach and hike along the beach back to the parking lot. You may want to bring sandals for use along the beach. Bring lots of water as it might be a hot day.  Bring your favorite breakfast to share, as we will have breakfast down the hill by the parking lot, in a picnic area.

    Important Reminders:

    Parking at the park is $20, though there is a free parking area to the north off 101, marked as P and circled in red on the map below. There is also street parking on 101 south.



    Note: AIAP does not assume any responsibility for the safety and security of hikers, and shall not be held liable for any accident, injury, loss of property or damages as a result of joining the hiking event set up by AIAP. All hikers join the hiking events at their free will and assume all the accidental dangers of a hiking event, and shall not hold AIAP liable for any bodily, financial, or property damages.

    Yoga in Nature | For the Iranian Community  ‍♀️

    A gentle outdoor yoga session designed to relax the body and calm the mind.


    In this class, through slow stretching movements, mindful breathing, and being present in the moment, we give the body a chance to release tension and restore its energy.

    This class is suitable for all ages and all levels, and no previous yoga experience is required.

      AIAP’s Annual Picnic

      Fun Activities

      Games, Dance, Music, Food and More.

      We are happy to announce that AIAP’s 2026 Annual picnic will be held at the beautiful San Dieguito County Park. All AIAP members are cordially invited to join us for this fun event. This is a token of our appreciation to AIAP members. 

      We will provide Persian food and different games for children and adults.

      The food will be provided based on the number of RSVPs, so if you like to join us for lunch please RSVP at your earliest convenience. Our food supplier cannot support non-RSVP orders.

      Important notes: 

      1. The event is open to everyone, but all attendees need RSVP.
      2. RSVP is required for all attendees ordering lunch. This process will require a credit card payment for everyone; however, the $10 member payment will be reimbursed to the AIAP members within 2-3 days after the picnic subject to show up.
      3. Non-members should directly purchase their tickets here.
      4. Park requires a $3 entrance fee per car
      5. Lunch will be served at 2:00 PM


      For lunch tickets, please RSVP online by Friday, August 14, 2026 at 12:00 p.m. PST.

      Lunch and Food: Persian kebab lunch catered by Balboa International Market, also, watermelon, tea, and cookies will be served.

      • Trail hiking

      Please bring your own backgammon to the picnic so that we can have multiple games playing at the same time.

      For your own comfort, you might bring chairs, blankets, tables, and any other personal picnic items.

      Lunch Tickets:

        • AIAP members (not including family) -- Free after $10 reimbursement. AIAP members who do not attend the event will not receive their $10 reimbursement.
        • Non-members (12+ year old)  -- $40
        • Kids (4–12-year-old) -- $15
        • Kids below 4-year-old -- Free

      Take Interstate 5,

      Take Exit 37 (Lomas Santa Fe Drive)

      Go East on Lomas Santa Fe Drive

      Turn left onto Highland Drive
