The AIAP hike for this month will be Torrey Pines State Beach and Broken Hill Loop. We start from beach level and go up the hill and come back from the beach trail to the end of the loop.
Meeting Time & Location:
Location: Torrey Pines State Natural Reserve Lot (after parking check in, in front of parking entrance and bathrooms) We get together at 7:15 AM and start the hike at 7:30 AM sharp. Hike Details:The hike is approximately six miles of easy walk in Torrey Pines State Reserve and takes about two and a half hours. Please bring enough water and wear comfortable hiking shoes. We will start at the parking lot, up the mountain, hike the canyons then walk down to the beach and hike along the beach back to the parking lot. You may want to bring sandals for use along the beach. Bring lots of water as it might be a hot day. Bring your favorite breakfast to share, as we will have breakfast down the hill by the parking lot, in a picnic area. Important Reminders: Parking at the park is $20, though there is a free parking area to the north off 101, marked as P and circled in red on the map below. There is also street parking on 101 south.
