AIAP’s February 2026 Hike

The AIAP hike for this month will be at Double Peak Trail From Discovery Lake in San Marcos. More information about the trail here.

Meeting Time & Location:

We meet at the park at 7:15 AM and start promptly at 7:30 AM.

Hike Details:

This trail starts at Lakeview Park and takes you down to Double Peak Park. It is a wide trail with beautiful views throughout. The hike is moderately difficult, covering 4.1 miles with about 1,026 feet of elevation gain, and typically takes 2 to 2.5 hours.

Important Reminders:

There are several steep and rocky sections so make sure you wear proper footwear.

Please bring enough water, breakfast to share, water and wear comfortable hiking boots. 

We will have breakfast on the peak.
