8:30 AM at the Palm Springs Aerial Tramway Station More information about the tramway here. Hike Details: Total distance: 10 miles round-trip from the top of the tram Elevation gain: Approximately 2,400 feet Difficulty: Moderate to strenuous – expect a challenging 5-mile ascent at high altitude Weather: Temperatures may range from cool to cold; please check the forecast the night before and dress in layers. Important Reminders: Registration is required - participants must register for the event through the AIAP website; registration is free but required. Physical preparation is essential – participants must be in good condition due to altitude and elevation gain. Water & Snacks: Bring at least 2 liters of water, snacks, and a shareable breakfast item. Footwear: Comfortable, supportive hiking shoes are required. Permits & Waiver: A hiking permit is required and can be obtained at the tram station. All participants must have a permit to join the hike. To complete the registration process, all participants must confirm the AIAP Hike Participation Waiver. Tram ticket is $35. Group rate is $30 (RSVP by May 15 to receive the discount)
