General Meeting: "The Electoral College and the 2020 Election" by Dr. David Faris

AIAP would like to invite you to its 7th virtual general meeting in 2020. Due to the approximate of the election date on November 3rd, AIAP is holding its monthly meeting on the 21st of October to provide the members with enough time to cast an educated vote. We will hold this meeting on October 21st from 7 to 8 pm. Additional time maybe allocated, as needed. Our guest speaker is Dr. David Faris, who is an associate professor of Political Science at Roosevelt University. 


Dr. Faris will present "The Electoral College and the 2020 Election". He will provide an overview of electoral college and will answer questions about presidential elections in America. Dr. Faris will present in English.

Dr. Faris is the author of The Kids Are All Left: How Young Voters Will Unite America (2020), It's Time to Fight Dirty: How Democrats Can Build a Lasting Majority in American Politics (2018) and Dissent and Revolution in a Digital Age: Social Media, Blogging and Activism in Egypt (2013). He is co-editor, with Babak Rahimi, of Social Media in Iran: Politics and Society After 2009. He is a regular contributor to The Week, and his work has appeared in The Washington Post, The New Republic, Buzzfeed, The Daily Beast, Informed Comment and more.
