در این برنامه، آقای محمد امینی، تازه ترین کتاب خود، صوفی گری، که در برگیرنده صوفی گری زنده یاد احمد کسروی همراه با بازبینی های گسترده، افزوده ها و یادداشت های آقای امینی است، معرفی خواهند کرد و این کتاب و نیز کتاب های شیعی گری احمد کسروی و نیز سوداگری با تاریخ را که در باره دوران زمامداری زنده یاد محمّد مصدق و پاسخ به وارونه نویسی ها است، برای علاقمندان امضا خواهند کرد
For the past centuries, the Iranian society has experienced an on going battle between tradition and modernity; a continuous challenge that has shaped the entire political and social aspects of Iranian contemporary history.
About the speaker: Mohammad Amini is a well-established author and historian and respected authority on subjects such as constitutional revolution, tumultuous period between 1941 to the 1953 coup, as well as life and works of Ahmad Kasrawi.
Mr. Amini is a contributor to the Encyclopedia Iranica and is a regular guest of BBC and Voice of America, and is invited frequently to speak at conferences throughout the world.
He was editor of a short lived daily newspaper during Iranian revolution of 1978, named Neday-e-Azadi (voice of freedom).
Mr. Amini, is the eldest son of late Nosratol-lah Amini, mayor of Tehran before the 1953 coup and personal attorney of Dr. Mosaddegh after the coup until his death. As his father was allowed to meet with his famous client in Ahmad-Abad regularly, young Mohammad accompanied him and visited the elder statesman on many occasions. His last visit was when he had just turned 14, two months before Dr. Mosaddegh’s death.

In the last thirty years, he has taken advantage of his success as an entrepreneur in the high-tech industry, to dedicate all of his time to study and write about Iran’s history. His field of expertise is discourses within Islam and specifically Shi’ism and Sufi’ism, ethnic and tribal edifice of Iranian society, modernity and constitutional revolution and the contemporary history of Iran. He has published over 180 articles and 7 books on these subjects. His books are as follows:
Mirasi az Ghoroon-e-vosta A history of development of Shiite clergy from third century to modern times, out of print. A substantially revised English version will be ready for publication next year.
Fedayi’ian-eslam and pursuit of an Islamic Republic (out of print, to be reprinted with significant modifications in October.
Boghranje-haye Ghomi va Melli dar iran, az Afsaneh ta Vaghei-yat (The impediments of tribal and national issues in Iran, from myth to reality).
Jostary piramoon-e Hijab (A historical review of discourse on Hijab in Iran, from 19th century to present time; under print)
Shi’i-gari (Shi’ism). Originally written by Ahmad Kasrawi in 1943, this work has been edited, reviewed and critiqued by Amini with extensive notes and additions.
Sodagary ba Tarikh (Deception of History). The first volume of this three volume book about the 28 month premiership of Dr. Mosaddegh, which also includes the events leading to 1953 coup, was published 8 months ago. The second volume is scheduled for publication in November.
Sufi-gari (Sufism) ). Originally written by Ahmad Kasrawi in 1943, this work has been edited, reviewed and critiqued by Amini with extensive notes and additions, is currently at the publisher’s hand.
